Jack lived In a small town with only a few thousand people. He was a fifteen-year-old kid who lived with his dad, granddad, and little sister. Jack’s dad was a painter and his granddad was a dancer. His grandad often told him stories of his adventures. He often talked about dancing with famous singers and dancers.
One day, Jack saw an advertisement for a dance exam in the town’s newspaper. Interested, he decided to try to take the exam. Before the exam, he practiced in his room, wearing his favorite sweater and sneakers. On the exam day, Jack and many other dancers went to the dance hall.
The exam was difficult and Jack had to dance in various types of dance such as hip-hop and jazz. Jack worked hard, wanting to become a real dancer. The dance school told Jack that he won the competition. He was excited about winning. His friends told him, “Congratulations.”
His dad and granddad were very happy for him. The family ate at Jack’s favorite restaurant. It was a moment that was very important to him. He will remember this competition for many years. Jack thought about that day. Then he understood that doing fun things in fun places is important.
